About Me

My Story

I like to call myself a writer. I'm also the guy who's more or less responsible for running this website for R-SPEC.

I've been interested in technology as far back as I can remember, and got interested in "serious" speculative literature via the early gift of a copy of The Science Fiction Hall of Fame (volume II-B). In my childhood I mainlined H. G. Wells and Andre Norton; in my adolescence I bounced between Poul Anderson and stuff like Ellison published in his Dangerous Visions volumes.

My particular techno-fetishes tend toward the things that have a more or less traceable mapping with how we live our lives and understand the world. So, subatomic particles, not so much; the social lives of soil bacteria, now that's more like it. Astrophysics? Eh. Cyberspace/ubicspace? Now we're talkin'.

In my CST [Copious Spare Time] I keep sporadic blogs at Antikoan.net and FeralRobots.net. And I make a living as a marketing wonk for a decidedly hip little Rochester-based marketing shop.
