Engagdet.com offers this brief article on an interesting suggestion regarding the use of piezoelectric materials. In this case, some suggest implanting piezoelectric nanowires in blood vessels to generate electricity from the flow of one's blood. Of course, one wonders whether the nanowires would trigger blood clotting, but it's still an interesting notion that the movement of one's blood could power cell phones and other portable technology.
